Kiritimati is an internationally renowned flyfishing and bonefishing destination, |

considered by some to be the best bonefishing site in the world. With huge expanses of protected lagoon flats and wilder ocean side flats, it is possible to fish from a different location every time.
The number of fish is astounding, with numerous catches of big fish possible each day. Bonefish, trevally, wahoo, sailfish, grouper and shark are just a few of the many species found in Kiritimati waters.
Knowledgeable local guides know the best spots to fish, and transport to the remote fishing flats is by truck or boat (skiff or outboard-powered outrigger canoes). Deep sea fishing on local charter boats is also available in Kiritimati.
Although not as renowned as Kiritimati, Tarawa also offers opportunities to fish with deep sea fishing, reef fishing and lagoon fishing all available.
